Plate No. 04 What you are building
Console table plans for a slim farmhouse console, sofa or entryway table with a lower slatted shelf, an optional pair of drawers and a thick two-board top. Three lengths in one kit (48, 60 and 72 in, about 14 in deep and 30 in tall), plus a narrow hallway version: dimensioned drawings, a cut list for every piece and a computed materials list.
The build: four square 4x4 legs, 2x4 aprons and shelf rails on edge joined with glue and pocket screws (plain screws also work), a slatted shelf of 1x4 boards, 2x2 top cleats and a top of two 2x8 boards laid flat. The 48, 60 and 72 in tables are 14-1/2 in deep and 30 in tall. The optional drawer kit adds two drawers on 10 in side-mount slides that you buy. The hallway table is 60 in long and 9-1/4 in deep (one 2x10 top, 2x4 legs). Every member (top, aprons, shelf rails, slats, legs and the tip-over check) is checked against a stated load, and the plans give the spans, slat gaps, cleat positions, fastener schedule and finishing steps.

How do you make a console table from scratch?
Cut four legs, join them with aprons and shelf rails (pocket screws and glue work well), add a slatted lower shelf, then fix a thick two-board top on cleats so it can move with the seasons. The plans give every length, a cut list and a finishing schedule for 48, 60 and 72 in tables plus a narrow hallway version.
This is a digital download, no physical item ships. These are generic DIY plans, not engineered or stamped drawings, and the table has not been tested to any standard. Tie the table to a wall stud with an anti-tip strap, especially where children or pets are present. The builder is responsible for safe construction and use. Colors can look a little different on your screen and printer. For personal use only; please do not resell or share the files.
