Plate No. 11 What you are building
Griddle station plans PDF to build an outdoor griddle table with a built-in look, for a 36 in or 28 in flat-top griddle, from ordinary 2x4 and 2x6 lumber. If you can put together flat-pack furniture, you can build this: numbered steps with one clear drawing each, a parts list with letters, a cut list and a shopping list for each size.
The build: a low gray-washed cabinet with a center bay that holds the griddle level with the counter, a plank prep counter on each side, and slat doors with black pull bars all along the front. The doors under the griddle hide the propane tank in a vented cabinet: gaps between the slats, a slot at the bottom and one at the top, the back left open, a hose pass-through to the griddle and a strap that keeps the tank upright. Optional extras: a short slatted splash wall over each wing with a lipped bottle shelf for oils, squeeze bottles and seasonings, a side bottle rack on the right end, tool hooks, a paper towel holder and casters. The 36 in station is about 8 ft 1 in long (bay 38 in) and the 28 in station about 7 ft 5 in long (bay 30 in); both are 2 ft 9 in deep with 3 ft high counters. Every board is a standard 8 ft 2x4 or 2x6. About 15 to 16 hours of work over a weekend.
Who these plans are for
First-time builders with a cart griddle who can follow flat-pack instructions and want a built-in look for a fraction of the price, with a shopping list for the lumberyard.

This is a digital download, no physical item ships. These plans are a guide only: build at your own risk. Follow your griddle manual for clearances to wood and for gas hookup, keep the propane tank upright in the vented cabinet (slat gaps, a slot at the bottom and the top, never closed in airtight) or outside, keep a noncombustible zone around the burners, and check your local rules. Use outdoor-rated lumber and exterior screws, and check every screw and joint at least once a year. The griddle, hardware and lumber are not included. Colors can look a little different on your screen and printer. For personal use only; please do not resell or share the files.
